5. Section 27(b) of the Act – Exceptional Skills category
As in the case of the Critical Skills Category for PR, the Exceptional Skills Category will also require of the applicant to prove critical skills but without the need to show due diligence on adverting and recruitment.
It will also require of the applicant to show 5 years post qualifications experience with corroboration by a comprehensive CV, supporting testimonials and references.
No employment is required to be provided for PR on exceptional skills. We would recommend that employment is provided to enhance the motivation of exceptional skills.
Note: The Department still fails to provide a wider definition of exceptional skills for those applicants who have attained extraordinary levels of success in fields outside of the critical skills list and therefore outstanding sports persons, business people in creative fields or those without actual qualifications, famous actors, writers, painters, singers, artists are not considered.
Thus, the ongoing neglect to recognize commercially sound immigration laws inhibits growth and worldwide attraction.
